My name is Grace Roberts. I graduated from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in 2012 with a degree in Convergence Journalism. I was born and raised in Little Rock, AR, but I currently live in Bielsko-Biala, Poland.

What’s behind the name… And a bit more about me

When I was contemplating the name of my blog, I wanted a name that represented the dichotomy that is my life—typical at times, and yet frenzied at others. I grew up in a normal American family in Little Rock, but at the moment I’m living in small-town Poland
teaching English—not the average post-college move.

I've always thought of myself as half left-brained and half right-brained, a strange mix of type A and type B.  This is not only evident in my life in general, but also transpires through my style.  My fashion taste is generally trendy, whether that includes studs, spikes, or tie-dye; But occasionally, a strand of pearls and a Lilly Pulitzer dress just pulls at my heart strings.

The initials of Classic Chaos (C.C.) also have special significance.  As a young child, not able to pronounce my name, I decided to rename myself “Cee Cee,” a name that my father still fondly calls me today. But more than the childhood nickname, C.C. are also the initials of the woman who inspired me more than anyone to become the person I know I should be. No, I'm not referring to the queen of fashion Coco Chanel, but rather my grandmother, whose maiden name was Charlotte Cooper. My memories of exploring Charlotte's closet and oversized jewelry box are stronger than any other childhood memory. Charlotte was known to many loved ones as a beauty pageant-lover, dressed to the tee, perfectly manicured, and always accompanied by a giant handbag filled with endless necessities. She was a master of the kitchen and entertaining guests—overall, what I think of as the perfect Southern woman to inspire me to be my best everyday.

I created this blog as an outlet to express myself and to stay inspired. I hope you enjoy a peek into my classically chaotic life.
